AWESOME

I thought this game was great. First match 3 I have enjoyed in quite a while. I could have done without the Torch Light boards but other then that I loved this game

Beat the BOSS

If you've ever played Paradise Quest (M3) game, you will love this one. This one you play 9 levels and on the 10th, you have to beat the boss. The camera glides w/ you as you unlock journal pages, tools etc. The puzzles are huge. you unlock upgrades on the tools you've uncovered and find the key to the next level. Hours of enjoyment. game on...

Challenging Match-3 Game

I tend to dislike Match-3 games unless they have a lot of variety (my favourite M3 is Ancient Quest of Saqqarah with its six different types of gameplay available) or are very challenging in some other way. Vesuvia is the latter. As other reviewers have noted, you can't see the entire board as you match; for ease of movement, the game provides a master map for each board which will show you areas of interest if there's any nearby. This means gameplay requires not only making matches based on how to free different objects (such as compass pieces, keys, rafts, and other tools) but on how they move you about the board so that you can find additional objects. Like most M3 games Vesuvia sets different obstacles -- for example, a mode where you can only see as far as the area your torch lights up and so as you move around you need to light additional torches -- and provides power-ups to ease gameplay. After the first set of boards you receive a power-up which allows you to move across the board/map to new areas you need to explore, cutting down on the time you spend wandering. Additional power-ups include the standard 'blow up a piece' and 'remove X amount of pieces from the board' while allowing the player to select what power-ups they wish to use/find most useful as gameplay continues. Additionally, the graphics are fun. As you move to different regions on the island (i.e. tropics, jungle, etc.) the objects on the board change to reflect your new habitat so that it remains visually interesting. All-in-all Vesuvia is a nice little M3 game that would be fun for beginners and veterans alike. If you like Match-3 games that are challenging you should definitely give this one a try.

Charming and addictive

This is a sequel to Paradise Quest with much the same game play but with a few welcome variations. I think it is a little easier, though. The map works in the night time which I seem to recall was not the case in Paradise Quest. It has a bit of a plot and excellent graphics and sound quality. There are lots of different ways to create explosions, always a plus in my opinion. The only downside is that it is almost impossible to tear yourself away . . .

CLICK AWAY AND HAVE A BALL

This is so much fun. Love the explosions, lightening, blow-ups, this all ages, there are birds, animals, food, keeps you moving and exploding. Power ups earned, and i like the difference in program creation attack..definitely not boring. take a break..play this for awhile and, then go back to HOS game..renew your sight of objects. I try out all the games not just for myself but to see what is developing for kids, friends, family. Colors are great, plenty of action for the beginner to go for it and have fun. It's entertaining. LOTS OF SURPRISES...CHECK IT OUT U WILL LIKE IT. AGE DOES NOT MATTER.

Loved it

I've played it over and over in both formats. Love the moving board. it adds another feature to this type of game play.

Most Excellent

I really like the challenge of this game. The game board/pieces change occassionally and that helps maintain interest. For some reason I find this an adictive game.

OUTSTANDING GAME!!!!

This is a brilliant smash em up game .TOOK ME A FEW DAYS TO FINISH IT,BUT IT IS SUPERB.Worth every penny. Great tools to use with brilliant effects. IT WAS GREAT LOOKING FOR THE PIECES OF COMPASS. Thrilling game. Loved it!!!!!

There is only one thing to say about this game

It's awesome....I liked Paradise Quest and I think this one is better.....It does seem a little easier though.....Buy this game you will not be disappointed....It's fun and there is always the replay value.....

Well done M3 with plot

This is a wonderful match-three game, with a plot that delivers the twists. I spent many hours getting to the end, and will gladly go back to get those trophies I missed the first time.
