This game totally caught my attention! I played for 4 hours and all the time I enjoyed cool graphics and marvelous story. HO scenes were clear and colorful, movies were breathtaking. Though voisovers were not so good, I think, it's OK. The game worths CE price, I don't regret money and time I spent for it and I think I will play it once again.
Based on demo only. I purchased this game. I like it. The one thing I did discover, that I have not noticed in other reviews, when you click on an item to use another item, you have to put your cursor eye glass on the item, not the item itself. Because of other games I've played that way, discovered it. I knew a particular item had to go on something, and I kept clicking. Finally discovered put the cursor on the item you are trying to place on another item. The lobster is so cute as the "hint" character. The game play is good, voice overs. I played the next step up from casual, but not the hardest. After about 30 minutes of game play I bought this game. I'm able to figure out what to do and the story line helped along those lines. I am enjoying this game.
I play a lot of puzzle/hidden object games - or rather, I play a lot of the free trial versions. I'm pretty picky about which ones I actually buy. I'm really happy with this purchase, this game was super fun and I felt the puzzles and overall level of challenge was not too hard and not too easy. The graphics are attractive as well. Also, you get a bonus game that's very well crafted and fun as well. The only negative thing I have to say, (spoiler alert), and this is being a bit nit picky, is that you have to lure a mouse into a mousetrap to get it into your inventory, the mousetrap kills the mouse, then you have to feed it to a snake. I know it's "just a cartoon", but it squicked me out a bit.
I love Pirates so of course 'Secrets of the Seas' was an immediate purchase for me. I love the whole layout of the game. Great graphic hues and special effects well done. Scenes feel oddly dimensional, but I have rather enjoyed them as they present theme and period of game well. Music and sound effects are realistic and make game even more enjoyable. Best of all, HOS are in theme with game and comfortable to find as I am playing in hardcore game mode. What could go wrong when your on an adventure in a great pirate game? Nice change for me to put focus on simple fun.
Fun game with great graphics. The intro's and interactions are quick and keep the game moving. You don't have to listen to boring readers. The little help shrimp is a cute addition. Overall this is a buy.
Just finished the trial and HAD to have this game. As a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean this game was a must have. Well drawn and the voice overs get your attention. HOGs and puzzles (so far) aren't impossible to solve.
This game really kept me interested and just wanted to keep playing to see what happened. The bonus play was very well done also and right along the story line. I would definitely recommend this game.
This game is really fun. I love the ambience of the whole thing. The back ground music i great. The HOS are just right, not too easy not too hard. The story line and characters are fun.
Three modes of play and even on the hardest, the game is not hard to play. There are 8 chapters with a bonus one. The graphics are really very good and there is so much to see in each scene. The storyline is good - lost souls really and the music is not intrusive. The characters are scary and also fun. I loved the hint lobster - kept asking for hints just to see him dive into his shell! The HOS are nothing new - a list, actions to find items in the list with a final item needed as part of the things you require on your journey. The scenes are not hard and for some may seem too cluttered. But I find the challenge in finding things in those types of scenes. Finding items along the way to do things such as open doors, cook meals etc is quite easy and you are able to use items quickly so you do not have to travel back and forth trying to remember what goes where. The puzzles are easy which may be a plus for those who just like to enjoy the journey through the story and finish the game themselves. There is little need to have to use the SG so that may attract some. Make sure you look around and see what is going on the background - a dolphin and a koi are quite nice to see! All in all, although not a game that really challenges, and with nothing new in terms of these types of games, the pleasure will be in the graphics, storyline and ability to complete for a lot of people. Worth enjoying!
I'm not a great gamer/history buff , but i come to life when I see the names of NEMO,HOLMES,TESLA,Asimov, etc. so I latched on to this demo by TABA Games. Nicely done ! The Devs obviously did their jobs.HOGs not tooo difficult, music is apropo ,artwork is awesome.I Like the lil schrimpie hints .Puzzles doable for an 'intermediate ' HOGGER I Agree with dancemom and pearly11
