Thank you CATEIA Developers and BFG for bringing this awesome, mysterious and intriguing Adventure Game experience which immediately draws the Gamer into play. This, in my opinon, is unparalleled Gaming GREATNESS! Unlike HOG's that usually take us by the hand and lead us throughout, Adventure-style gaming such as "Red Crow Mysteries: Legion" requires more thought and brings with it a feeling of satisfaction in overcoming a bit more complicated challenges. There are Achievements to collect which is always an added Bonus for me and no mis-click penalties since Adventure Games are meant to fully explore. I absolutely love taking my time and enjoy the artwork, story line and creativity poured into such a work of "heart". Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
As I see it, you can't be an Adventurer and be lazy. This game actually requires some thinking and trial-and-error problem solving. * No, there is no journal. You will need to take your own notes. This makes the game more your own -- like you're part of it. * There is no map. True Adventurers don't need them. If you can't remember where locations are, jot down some hints to remind you. * Yes, you have to read. Adventure games should be stimulating -- not simply point and click. * Graphics were not over-the-top but they suited the overall feel of the game. Some areas were a bit dark, but there were not enough of them to ruin the game. * Voiceovers were great, and kept up the mood of gameplay. * The Hint button was not always helpful, but was there to guide you. It didn't automatically solve my dilemmas -- it just gave me a "hint" as to what to do next. I loved this game, as if you couldn't tell. I liked that it didn't make me lazy and allow me to just click my way through it. I highly recommend Red Crow Mysteries: Legion -- for those of us who like a challenge and a real adventure!
Great game; the kind I love; adventure, puzzle game. I always play the hardest levels; so, with it, you are on your own; No help. At first, it was kind of confusing, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes very challenging! VERY CHALLENGING!! If you enjoy a challenge, this is the one; especially if you like puzzle adventure games. Give it a try, you"ll enjoy!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Thought this was a great game. Interesting, with some original tasks, on the "adventure" side and some unusual mini puzzles. Bought and played it in the same day - not like me as most often I try a game, buy it but leave till later to finish because I already have a number of games in progress. Ending leaves room for a sequel which I hope we get very soon.
Customizable adventure story with 20 achievements and 3 difficulties. You can set whether you want active areas to sparkle, whether you want the find items panel and the speed of hint and skip recharges. Maintains a list of tasks. Collect 21 roses. The inventory tray can become quite full as there is a lot to do and see and inventory isn?t used immediately. Graphics are clear. Determine your individual sound levels for music, voices, etc. You can truly customize most aspects of this game to your liking. Get a CE quality game for a SE price. 4 1/2 stars rounded up.
I purchased and played this game a year ago. I was just looking at the ratings wondering what happened with the low rating and all, that it is now showing. It deserves far better than this rating. I do play a lot of games so I do not remember all the details as what comes with this one :) but I can tell you that once in a while I check to see if there is another one like it! I like games that make you think and this one did it for me. Cateia Games are just great, like Tales from the Dragon Mountain: The Strix, Where Angels Cry, for example, and many more. Try the game to judge by yourself. Especially today as the Daily Deal. That is a lot of time having fun for not much dollars. I definitely recommend this game, at any price. I dislike when a game gets a bad rap with people stating they do not recomment the game while writing "I played only 10 minutes of the demo and the game is dull" Hello?? :)
I was hooked the minute I started playing could not stop playing , very scenic
I love adventure games with little or no guidance as I play, so this game was great for me! If you like HOGs with everything provided, then skip this one. I did find some of the scenes to be blurry/grainy which made it difficult for these old eyes to find the items. Thank goodness there weren't many, so I survived! Clearly there will be a sequel and I hope the developers continue with the adventure format.
Well thought out presentation and difficulty choices. Plot stirred my interest and I would like to know what happens. The first major puzzle was quite "out of the box" and as such quite difficult. After that I started to get the idea as to the thought process of the developers. Excellent game play. Some of the puzzles quite difficult. You have the ability to pick up anything useful and then figure out where or what to use it as. I didn't like the puzzle directions much and could have used a bit of help to understand what I had to do. The hint button was not helpful at all. there is a task list which is excellent. A diary or journal would help as there is no place (but a pen and paper by the computer) that will remind of what you are looking for. Graphics were fine by me. I don't need the eye candy and had no trouble finding the objects I was looking for. All in all, I heartily recommend this game to people who enjoy adventure gaming.
This game is developed by Cateira (new/indie?). It's more adventure than hidden object, somewhat different than what most are used to, yet VERY engrossing. You are the main character being put through a test (locating objects, using them where necessary, etc.#, by the spirits of your [deceased] mother and grandfather, as you're next in line to defeat the world's invisible enemy, Legion #unfortunately your mother and grandfather were defeated by him#. The graphics had somewhat of a grainy effect, but not overwhelmingly so #very colorful and not dark). There are voice overs and quite a bit of reading. But also know that there are achievements and the 'reading' is one of them. There also are quite a few new and challenging puzzles in addition to the standard fare. This game could probably qualify as a Collector's Edition, and I could see there being a second/followup game. All in all, many of you should enjoy this one. It has its challenging moments, but is definately worth it.
