A new very enjoyable game of the ?Mystery Trackers? series. In my opinion this game has all the necessary features to be amusing, intriguing and entertaining. The graphics are really wonderful, it?s possible to choose the level of difficulty, the puzzles are neither too easy nor too difficult and all in all fully enjoyable. There is a well-conceived map which is of great help to move from a place to another one. The strategy guide is not strictly necessary, since the hints already offer all the necessary help and do it in a slightly humorous way, not just giving plain hints. I didn?t find any flaws to this game so far, even though I didn?t finish it yet. The plot is basically the same of the other games of the series; you are a detective who inquires on people mysteriously disappeared in a strange island where all building seems to be intact, but nobody is around, except a mysterious character hidden behind a mask. The character seems to have special powers, but?.we?ll manage to defeat him, of course ;^)) Sound effects are very evocative The whole game appearance is very accurate in all details and the plot is captivating. There are HO scenes, but not too continuous, and they need interaction with the items of the repertory. Definitely a buy!
Have the other previous two games and loved both. Not played much of this one but from what I can tell, it is as good if not better (for me) than the other two. Graphics are excellant but had to change the cursor as the game's cursor dragged a little, which is annoying. I love the fact that there are real people mixed in with the game. You have to find 50 owls (cute little things) in every scene and the transition between scene was very smooth. As said, only played a little but is definately worth buying and heartily recommend this game. I will probably purchase the CE later in the month. Enjoy your BF games!! :)
I played the Beta yesterday and this game is simply anoher BIG hit! The Graphics were awesome, storyline is perfect and music was spooky and fitting. HO scenes were just right. I definitely Recommend this game!!! I enjoyed playing and being startled and the real-life looking beings. I never played the other games but realized what I was missing, so I baought one of the past Mystery Trackers games yesterday and plan to purchase this CE and the other one. Thanks Big fish for a truly great game series!
I own the two previous "Mystery Trackers" games, and they were great. This one is just as good, if not better! HO scenes are bright and colourful. I only managed to do one puzzle - which took me ages - but I did it in the end! Just buy it, you'll love it!
Intro already holds you ... Sarah, a reporter, disappeared near the Black Isle Hotel, taken by a masked man. Gorgeous graphics, appealing and exciting plot, immersive atmosphere, excellent sound, totally appropriate to the story. Characters that create curiosity in this very well-developed game. Highly interactive game, in all the places there is much to do and collect, including HOS, that despite being easy, are enjoyable - you need to use inventory items. The amount of HOS is very well balanced and in different locations. Several great mini games, some known but with something extra, and some new too. Besides all, you have to collect 50 owls along the way - and is not always easy to find. Hint is very helpful - good assistance to the next step. It has a map too. Although not very challenging, it is extremely entertaining and definitely goes to my collection.
Was waiting so much for this game :D, played 30 minutes of the demo, casual. - SG not available in the sample so no idea about the length - 3 gameplay modes, Casual, Advanced, Hard Core - No notebook - A map, you can jump from one location to the other - You've got to find 50 owls throughout the game - Voiceovers - Very good background sounds - H0 are clear, you interact with objects from your inventory - Mini games (up to now) easy - Hint is very useful, even outside H0, refills pretty fast - Skip button - Intereting creepy story - A lot of taks to perform - Beautiful graphics Liked the first game, loved the second one and this one seems just as good, a buy for me
This was a must-have for me as I loved the first two. This one seems even better! The storyline, graphics and music are all excellent. There are three modes of gameplay and believe me "hardcore" is exactly that! I like the interactive map, and the search for that "special" item. The HOs are clear and I love the fact that you have to use inventory items to get some of the objects. The puzzles are not so difficult that you want to give up. The only downside is the fact that the strategy guide does not keep up with the story - if and when I use an SG I don't really want to have to search through every page to get assistance. Even so this is well worth the extra credit.
This one is better. Has a good flow, good graphics but no voice over. The HOS are good and the puzzles are pretty much easy. Has things to find for enjoyment and you get rewards on others. Hint button is ok.
This game was a true collaboration of artistic genius! The graphics were some of the best I've seen! The waves of the ocean were just phenomenal! The videos, the live actors, the animals were all such an extraordinary touch that just enhanced the game play! The accompanying realistic sounds enhanced the ambiance, and added to the pleasure of taking ones time to finish this game. The puzzles, my favorite, were a treat, and graciously spread throughout the main game as well as the bonus round. The hidden object scenes were nicely done, just the right amount of objects to search through. Thank you Elephant Games for making this a truly wonderful series of games that makes one anticipate the next release!
Only completed the demo and the 57 minutes just flew. Storyline very intriguing - solve the mystery of the isle (who is that shadowy figure) and find the kidnapped journalists. Graphics superb - music appropriately creepy and wonderful sound effects (lightning, rain). HOS beautifully drawn and uncluttered. A mixture of straight list and use of inventory items. Not that difficult to find anything. Great use of objects and the resultant effect - monkey climbing the drain pipe - the cannon exploding. Some mini-games - matching segments of the ladder, matching notched rods - not difficult. There are the usual achievement awards - finding objects in one minute, not skipping puzzles etc. 50 owls to collect - they can be found anywhere including HOS (not in the object list) so you need to look carefully in each scene/area. There is an in - game strategy guide if necessary but hints are useful and fill quickly. A very enthralling game and with the extra content probably worth the price of the CE.
