Just As I Promised SE Here Gets 5 Stars - Review Of Completed CE Game

Story: You take on the role of Catherine Taylor and must stop a devastating war over a long lost artifact that has recently resurfaced and uncover the truth of the Cobra's Eye and not only save your true love Daniel but the world from evil forces known as the Draugs trying to claim it. There is widescreen at least for me. I had no problems here along with no tech issues. There is voice overs. 6 CHAPTERS (I have also included bonus review at very bottom) 2 play modes: I played Advance mode the hardest mode. No sparkles however black bar tips. Hint/Skip about a couple of minutes for charge up. Hint is also directional outside of HOS. JOURNAL: Holds objectives which also pop up on the screen along with notes. MAP: This is transporter with a total of 32 locations and it indicates where you are by a "yellow glow" to the circle. Areas with ! there is something to do in these areas. HOS: There are quite a few of these however I didn't find myself doing them one right after the other and there are a couple on each list that are interactive. Some scenes for me a little on the Sanford & Son junkyard pile side however most nice and clear. INVENTORY: Sometimes used right away but at times I had quite a bit in the inventory. PUZZLES: These are widely varied in difficulty and type - and there are a great many of them. Yet another to my surprise I found myself enjoying most of them. The main game here came to a satisfactory conclusion for me. Bonus chapter not needed. MAIN GAME LENGTH: 6 hours. May be more/less for you. OVERALL IMPRESSION: I have played and reviewed the CE version when that came out and just as I promised I said I would give the SE version here 5 stars. The only thing for me that kept the CE version from getting 5 stars was there are no bells and whistles meaning the achievements, collectibles, morphs. Yes I rate SE and CE versions of games different. Since I'm paying twice as much for the CE well I do expect bells and

EXCEPTIONAL VALUE

This game is incredible. There are so many locations and things to do right from the beginning - each location easily has over 10 interesting tasks. Very well conceived and constructed story. The location graphics are fantastic, and the gameplay is pretty flawless. Wide variety of puzzles in type and difficulty and type. Typical list-based HOS. Puzzles outnumber HOS. Real actors and great voiceovers. Exception production values - a true pleasure to play.

Must find Daniel.......

I gave it a try and surprisingly after playing 15 min I was hooked. Graphics and colors are very nice and there is a ton to do in each scene. HOS can be challenging since some objects are pretty small but never impossible to find. Love the story and locations. It has me totally involved and I need to find out more. Yes, as previous fishies mentioned, the men are very yummy.. You never hang on to a found object for too long. I really liked the add on of the cryptic disk. Gives the game a little extra " umph " and you find out some more details about the back story. Well worth the SE version

Enjoyable game, great challenge!

After trying to download the Collector version of this game and not being successful I tried the standard version and it worked. So glad it did. I thoroughly enjoyed this game. It has two modes: casual and advanced. I played advanced. I liked the advance because there were no sparkles at all! There are black bar tips though. There is a map which I did not use, but I understand it does transport which is great because there is a lot of back and forth in the game (which I don't mind). There are a number of HOS but they are spread out pretty well. You're not doing one every other scene. The puzzles vary in difficulty and I found myself challenged on a number of them. Some may not like the graphics (they might think they are grainy). I found the storyline interesting, the music was good and not annoying (although I kept on low volume). It took me a number of hours. Sorry I forgot to keep track. Overall I recommend to all skill levels. Take advantage of this weekends sale and get this one or at least try the demo.

Unusually Complex Story

I really liked this one. It was long but I was sorry when it was over. You really must set aside a few things, like the heroine of the story in a long a dress making long, regular climbs from building to building on a rope, up down and over many obstacles with heaven knows what for shoes on, but that is worth a smile as you play. The story was complex and interesting. The map even more extensive and complex. Most of the HOS were challenging, the puzzles were either okay or aggravating (when I call a puzzle aggravating that is good for puzzle fans because I don't like them), and the story was a bit like a book you don't want to put down. All in all, I really recommend this game and hope there are more like it in the future.

fun game

it was just challenging enough to entertain you and keep your attention

Legends of the East: The Cobra's Eye

Can't wait for the next installment. Excellent graphics and game play. Was a bit confused on the final battle. Won but not sure how I did it! No glitches whatever! One of the best games this summer.

A home run for puzzle lovers

What a game with puzzles for every level. A few were very challenging and the game has a very long run. The map was excellent! All should enjoy!

Really enjoyed this game!

This definitely gets 5 stars. The graphics are really good, love the story. Lots to do. Good map. Good long game.

A GAME NOT TO MISS
