Another good Dana Knightstone game

If you enjoyed the 1st, you will enjoy this one as well. The graphics are beautiful, the storyline and music good, and the HOs are clear and crisp. The puzzles are fairly simple with only a couple that were a little more challenging (one slider in particular). There is no map, but there are not a lot of scenes per chapter. You need to use the notebook several times to complete some of the puzzles which is fine. There are 2 levels. The 2nd does not have any sparkles, and a slow hint recharge. There are achievements for completing different tasks which is always fun. I did have a problem when I went to view the achievements, it showed 2 and then when I scrolled down it scrolled thru 3 so I couldn't see them all. I completed the game in under 5 hours and actually was getting a little tired of it. I feel this is a good beginner and intermediate player game. Overall I did enjoy the game and recommend it.

Beautiful

Every now and then a game comes along that is so beautifully made and this one was it.The graphics were so well done and the game play went smoothly. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out the mini-games which were quite easy and I like it that way.I cannot stand the mini-games in most games,I would rather concentrate on the adventure itself. The story was nicely done.Oh yeah, this one was a beauty!

BIG Hidden Objects ! Yippeeeee !

Yes ! They are all big -except in a couple of scenes where they're standard size, big enough at least to be spotted without difficulty. Thank you Boomzap. For once I didn't have to press my nose against the screen to try an locate the odd transparent clover or the traitorously invisible safety pin. A feature that a not-HO-lover guy like me knows how to appreciate, but which might not fully satisfy players who adore them. In addition they are crisp and clear and do look like real-life objects. A plus. Add to that a generous Hint System that recharges fast. Furthermore, the total amount of puzzles and minigames amount to 50 -up to Chapter 5, and a few more in Chapter 6 ! You actually get an award if you complete those 50 without skipping any of them. As they are all easy -except one slider that's a bit more tricky- you can complete them all with a bit of patience. They are varied, not overly original for some of them, and randomized most of the time. Awards too, for achieving several tasks, even for completing a chapter in less than 60 mns. I didn't get those because I like taking my time and having breaks. But if you get all 6 of them, that means total playtime is 6 hours or less. The artwork is quite good, sharp, rich, lively colored; I think many scenes are photos, actually, or based on them. The music is soft, relaxing, unobtrusive. The voice-over is professional. There is no map, but it's difficult to get lost in this game, and the objectives, though not stated, are simple. Putting the useful objects into use is easy too. The storyline being rather similar to that of Death at Fairing Point, I bought the SE, yet I got so much fun out of it that I could have done with the CE, especially that the whole game is an improvement on its predecessor. A very enjoyable game, ideal for beginners and intermediate players. 4.5 stars is a well deserved rating, I think, rounded up to 5 naturally.

Bravo!

Bravo! This game grabbed me from the start--what is not to like about going to Italy! Graphics: They are superb--crisp, bright, colorful, and detailed. Not a lot of HO's in this game, but they are very well done. Story: The story is interesting and refreshing; not so macabre as so many are these days, The game plays logically, and I love the plentiful use of the Italian language in the background details. I speak some Italian, so this makes the game extra fun for me :-) I found the music soothing, but it is repetitive which might annoy some. It is more of a romantic mystery than a frightening one, so to each their own. Game play: I played the advanced version. The game is smooth and logical. This is less of an HO game, and more of an interactive adventure game. There are plenty of mini puzzles, some which are quite easy, and a few that are more challenging. I found all the puzzles entertaining though, because they are refreshing, colorful, and some are puzzles within puzzles. While there is back and forth, it is not overdone, and completed areas will no longer highlight. Also, you move through chapters to keep the game moving forward, which presents fresh new scenes, a plus since the graphics are so beautiful. Some objects you collect will have to be used again (realistic!!), so don't forget to retrieve them! The goal sheet and journal are helpful, and if you are truly stuck, the hints will tell you what you need to know. The characters you meet in the game are helpful and well placed. Game length: I took my time with this game to savor the graphics, and because I liked all the Italian details. It took me a little over four hours to finish--which I consider a good value for my money. For me, this had most of the elements of a 5 star game. What it lacked: I like HO's where you have manipulate some objects, like open a box, or use a pair of scissors. Also, I like when a certain object is hidden throughout the game. For example, find all 50 frogs. These are minor things though, and my

Fantastic Game!

This game has everything ... hidden objects, many many mini games, interaction and a good story line. The mini games were fairly simple with a couple that boggled us, but we kept trying and didn't skip any. There are achievements to reach and that is always a fun challenge. We missed 2 because of our extra time spent on a couple of the mini games, so we will try again to get all 19 achievements. A well spent 5 1/2 hours play time.

Go Forth And Buy!

This is the second game in this series I've played and it's just as beautiful and entertaining as Death At Fairing Point. The artwork is astonishing and a pleasure to gaze upon. All the characters are believable, including the narrator and the plot has been polished to perfection. The soundtrack is a duplicate of the first game but works really well with this story, too. Fast recharge hint/skip buttons, very good ambient sounds, and interesting, challenging puzzles round out this amazing offering from Boomzap. Trouble is, now I want to move to Tuscany....

Great game

I tried the game first and found that it was challenging, but, not so difficult that you get frustrated and wonder why anyone would buy this game, lol. Beautiful graphics and the background music is the most tolerable of all the games that I have played. As soon as I complete this rating I'm going to purchase it.

Lovely love story

This game was fantastic, beautiful story, great graphics, I am a sucker for love stories and having a mystery attach to this one in a game was just my cup of tea, lots of hidden objects and games, some easy some more challenging but all good.

Spellbinding and addictive

This game is amazing - excellent story - good character interaction - more puzzles than hidden object (at least 10 to 1) - graphics crisp, detailed and atmospheric. The puzzles are different, each one gets you thinking - I skipped two in total and will probably replay to try and get them all. The chapters are of a good length and keep the overall story going. My interest in hidden object games has almost disappeared but this game had me enthralled and determined to finish the game.

THE BEST OF 2011

In my opinion this game was the best game I played in 2011 for many reasons. The story was enchanting, the music fitting, the mini-games a delightful mixture of entertainment, the scenery beautiful and the HOS were not so many as to become overpowering to the story. Rather than "just" an adventure this was a delightful and engrossing trip through Italy while solving a mystery. Why can't we have many more games made like this??? I hope other developers will begin to make games this entertaining but if not I hope the developers of this game will continue to produce their games with the same quality and caliber as this. I highly recommend this game.
