AFERON - BigFishGames
The translation was terrible, but that seems to be a theme with foreign made games on big fish. What absolutely infuriated me, however, was the fact that it seems like no one play tested this. There are about half a dozen times where I had to find an object that was mis-labeled. A broom instead of a mop, or a key instead of a wrench. C'mon, I expected better than this. I can't believe how short it was and what a depressing non-ending for what seemed like it was going to be a very interesting storyline. --SPOILERS-- Love the fact that "as a joke" the main character got his skull caved in with a baseball bat.
I really had alot of fun with this game. Entertaining, funny at spots and most of all, its a HOG!!!!!
A woman named Lisa Wang enters Alex's office to warn him that someone is going to kill him, and then quickly leaves with no other information. Alex was a former cop who opened up his own investigation office, so together with his partner Vinny, they follow Lisa to figure out who she is and why she has the information of an alleged murder plot. The problem with this game is that every room you search is only half lit and the items you search for are so small that they are unrecognizable. If they would have simply made the rooms brighter and only had you searching for normal sized items, this game would have been great. One of the items to search for was a paperclip! There were a few words spelled incorrectly which I find unacceptable, pay someone 5 bucks to proofread, I'd do it. There were mini games as well such as sorting film reels into alphabetical order. This game had good quality trailers and cut scenes, had an interesting storyline and interesting characters, it's only real fault or downfall was the almost impossible to find small dimly lit list finds.
The graphics were blah, it was hard to see things in the hidden object portions, the story itself was boring, and it was super short. UNIMPRESSED
